RoutePro®.Net is launched!
The new Intermec HHCs(Hand Held Computers) run on Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system. Customers that purchased 5 to 6 years back have got used to DOS type software applications. They would like to replace old units with latest devices, but retain the same software look and feel to help users with the transition.
In order to provide continuity to such customers, Mirnah has developed a new software RoutePro®.Net. This product includes all functionalities of the previous DOS software, and runs on the latest Windows Mobile/Pocket PC platform.
RoutePro®.Net is a product of the emerging .Net technology and is developed using C#.Net. It gives customers the opportunity to migrate to Intermec 700 HHCs seamlessly with their existing set-up. For existing customers that have the old DOS HHCs, the new devices and software can operate side by side without changes in the current work flow followed by the end-users. Typically a two hour training can get the salesmen started on the route, since the interface of RoutePro®.Net is the same as that of the DOS programs. Customers have the option to retain their backoffice, or go for the new .NET version which is also developed in C#.Net.
RoutePro®.Net goes live at Nadec!
Nadec was the first company to implement RoutePro®.Net. This month (May 2006) their Sulay depot went live with the new software and new Intermec 741 series devices for their 60 routes.
StockPro Inventory Management
Mirnah, in an effort to extend its software to manage inventories and data collection at depots, have developed and launched a new product by the Name of StockPro.
StockPro will compliment Mirnah’s Van Sales application and will use existing data from it to plan production and maintain Inventory at depots. This application was completely developed on the Microsoft .NET platform and has two components. The one that runs on a PC(or Server) is used by internal users in Sales and Production departments to record Inventory transactions such as Production output, Sales Orders, Delivery Orders, Sales Returns and Purchases from vendors. The other component runs on Hand Held Devices which are connected using Radio Frequency Networks to the BackOffice database. This software is used by Stores personnel who are constantly on the move receiving or issuing items or counting stock inside their Stores. Such users cannot use a PC as they need to record transactions on the move. Using a Hand Held Computer that transmits data online, they are able to capture important data inside the Stores on a real time basis.
A high-end version of this product has been planned for the future, which will provide specialized capabilities for printing labels, Kitting and Splitting of items and some more inventory functions.
Nada implements StockPro
Nada was the first company to implement this software. The software has helped them in moving products in a FIFO basis and maintaining accurate stock position at all times.
