The RoutePro BackOffice (BackOffice) Product
The RoutePro BackOffice is developed in Visual Basic and runs on Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle database platform. It uses Client-Server based technology. The database could be installed on a dedicated database server, and the BackOffice application or user interface can be installed on any standard PC within the Network. It could be web enabled using Citrix(static IP address from the local ISP required to access over the internet).
Some of its features are:
Multiple configuration setup:
a. Centralized Database (the database is installed in the Head Office).
b. Distributed Database (the database is installed in each branch).
c. Centralized communication in the Head Office using a communication server.
d. Decentralized communication in each branch using a communication server.
Customer grouping based on geography.
Company--Region--Sub Region--Area--Route--Customer
Customer grouping based on sales channels for analysis report and other purposes.
The channels could be: division, department, class, subclass, and category.
Grouping of SKU's by 4 levels
Company group--major category--sub major category--item group
Setup special prices with Start and End dates(applicable dates)
Link special prices to a customer or group of customers.
Setup special promotion(Free good, Item line discount, invoice discount etc.) with Start and End dates.
Link Promotions to a customer or group of customers.
Setup displayed messages on HHC's, printed messages on invoices for a customer or group of customers.
Setup customer visit sequence.
Setup fixed coverage plan for each day of the week or on a weekly basis.
Setup surveys and link them to a customer or group of customers. Surveys could be used to capture product freshness data or to capture competitor product information like stock count or stock availability.
Setup the Route controls in the Route master.
a. Assigning passwords to key FrontEnd Program functions like data/time change,
price change, telecom setup, start of day or inventory
b. Scanner enable (Yes/No)
c. Expenses entry (Yes/No)
d. Visit voiding (Yes/No)
e. Load Adjustment (Yes/No)
f. Enable Add/Edit Customer (Yes/No)

i. Controlling the inventory input either by case, pieces or both
